Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center

What do pawpaws and persimmons, currants and ginger, or sea kale and garden sorrel have in common? Besides being delicious, they can all be grown as perennial food crops in our region! Jon Zirkle from Bushelcraft Farm and Patrick Coonan, Goshen, Ind., share about these and other perennial tree fruits, shrub fruits, and perennial vegetables and herbs, including how they are grown and used right here in Michiana.

This is the third presentation of Merry Lea's third annual 2021 Michiana Regional Seed Swap. The year’s event included three prerecorded presentations released on our Facebook page and website the week leading up to Saturday, January 16, which entailed a live presentation, presenter Q&A time and breakout sessions on specific interest areas.
