Flynn the wasted fly

Flynn the wasted fly is a video explaining how a common house fly eats from a sugar cube infused with alcohol and how the alcohol affects her. You will see how she is using her digestive fluids to liquefy the solid food and this short video is at the same time also an awareness video that makes you think about the use of alcohol. It seems that flies and humans have a lot more in common than you would initially think, even at a genetic level. For example, a lot of research is currently being done on the relationship between alcohol use and dopamine release and it seems that because of the many similarities in how flies and humans react on alcohol, these little buggers are a perfect model for some of that research. The video was filmed in 4k resolution with a highquality macro lens and contains hardcoded informative text. The music used is from the YouTube audio library:
Early Avril by Unicorn Heads
