The flipped classroom is explained in details for educators new to the flipped model. This lesson first explores the reasons why teachers and schools might want to flip a classroom in the first place. There are several benefits for students and teachers when it comes to a flipped classroom. It is definitely a new take on traditional education. The video continues with an eight step path to flipping a classroom. This path is one of many different ways to use the flipped model. The path basically answers the question of how do you actually flip a classroom. The path includes steps like classroom management, creating a buy in, technology training, curating resources, assigning content, and much more. As the video lesson progresses, a clear understanding of what a flipped classroom will look like to outsiders is presented. The video lesson ultimately finishes up with a look at some of the tools that are necessary to flip a classroom. A lot of these tools include Google apps for education. However, other tools may be helpful as well. This video is part of a larger playlist based on Google Alternative Learning Models, which include a blended classroom, and project based learning. There will be more videos on the flipped classroom as an entire presentation will be given as to the steps and how to actually flip a classroom.
