In this video you can follow the first part of fixing up an old road to look just like a new one. The road is from the beginning of the 20th century and it has become overgrown by vegetation. The first step is to scale of the vegetation, undernith there is a really good base layer of gravel that just needs some freshing up. I do this by adding an layer of geotextile and some extra gravel.

We do however have one problem the culvert. The culvert is as you can see broken beyoned repair and needs to be replaced. After the replacment we build it in by the same rocks as before to containe the original old fashioned look.

To make the road strong I compact it alot. The material used is gravel in sizes 090 millimiter.

This job is done with a 2018 Mecalac MTX12.

The video is a combination of time lapses and regular filming. This way I can show you most elements without you having to watch for days. This also means that the video partly has no original sound.
