This video will show you stepbystep how to replace an ungrounded outlet with a GFCIprotected outlet. Most older homes have twoprong outlets instead of newer, safer threeprong outlets. There are also many older homes where threeprong outlets have been installed in place of the older twoprong outlets. A home’s electrical system in both of these situations is not as safe as newer, modern systems because there is no equipment ground.
