In the summer of 2015, my 13 years old fridge started to not cool enough. So I decided to fix this problem. I did not know what was the main reason for this failure, so I checked many websites as well as youtube videos. What I found was that I needed to check many possibilities for this failure. I cleaned the fridge from bottom to top, then replaced the main control board as well as an icemaking unit, etc... None of those worked for me. Then further research, I suspected R134a ( AKA Freon) thing. So I decided to recharge it. I bought 3 tools. You can buy them from Amazon.

For me, this was the first time to recharge R134a, so my work in the video was kind of in fear and trembling, and made many mistakes.

The needle of the gauge pointed at around or less 5 psi during the recharging, and keep recharging very slow speed.
