Sidebyside fridges, particularly GE models (in my case the GSL25JFPA BS sidebyside refridgerator), have a longstanding history of frozen water lines so that nothing comes out of the dispenser. Reasons could be of electrical, mechanical, or other nature. And it is the "other" category that is the culprit: it is the lack of insulation of the inner freezer door panel that allows for the freezing.

a) How to isolate and solve the problem with a couple of potholders and doublesided tape
b) That neither a repairman or some overpriced gadgets solve the problem permanently
