Kowado Honten, a longestablished Japanese confectionery store in Nakamura Ward, Nagoya
City, Aichi Prefecture, has been loved for over 80 years.With the completion of the largest
torii gate in Japan, a small shop was born at the foot of the shrine.
We will introduce the process of making the seasonal product "Kuri Ohagi" using "chestnut",
which is the top taste of autumn. KuriOhagi is sticky rice cake coated in smashed
chestnut.We use chestnuts from Kumamoto, which are carefully selected by the store manager,
and use traditional simple ingredients and manufacturing methods to bring out the goodness
of the ingredients.
