Today we explored Jaffna, Sri Lanka's Northern most city!

Jaffna has a majority Tamil population so we started our day with a huge Tamil breakfast in a local pure veg restaurant.

We then checked out the local market and bought some Sri Lankan incense which smelt divine.

Driving around all day in the mid day heat was pretty intense so we headed into the shade for some fresh juice.

Later on we checked out the beautiful hindu temple here in Jaffna city then also had a look at a buddhist temple round the corner.

Now we were hungry again so found a road side hopper spot where we indulged in some egg hoppers with spicy sambal as well as some sweet coconut milk hoppers.

We ended the day down by the ocean watching the sunset from a local fishing village which was spectacular as always in Sri Lanka...

Our first day in Jaffna, Northern Sri Lanka was pretty good
