Hi everyone!!
I just wanted to clear up a few things about bonding chinchillas: it isn't always this easy. In fact, I'd say most of the time, it's a pretty difficult process and often the bond doesn't form. The things I did with Finn and Knox I think gave them the best chance at developing a relationship, but their unusually sweet and laid back personalities helped a lot! One thing that I believe also helped that I didn't mention in this video, is the fact that Finn probably felt comforted by Knox after being still so new to our house. I think it's easier for chins to bond when they take comfort in each other, which is why having them in a neutral and unfamiliar place is important.
Hope you all enjoyed watching our bonding process, I can't wait to share more with you about Finn, as he is an incredibly smart chin I'm interested in attempting to train him to do things and interact with puzzles!
