The Sony SRSXG500 and SRSXG300 have been really good to me after 1 year of casual use. Grabbing one of them to use for tunes around the house and in my backyard has been nice. I've typically taked about Sony's warm sound signature being ideal for inhome use whereas JBL's more aggressive signature is better suited for outdoors and activites. On recent trips to the beach, I skipped past the JBL Charge 5 and Boombox 3 and took the XG500 and XG300 instead. I was pleasently surprised by the performances and how enjoyable the two speakers were on the trips!. I'm placing these in the runnings for the best beach speakers and pool speakers of 2023.
