Fastest way to test if the crankshaft is bent on a lawnmower. So you hit a root, stump, rock or piece of metal in the lawn and suspect you bent the crankshaft. Your push mower now vibrates more than normal. Watch now for the easiest way to diagnose if you have a bent or crooked crankshaft.

Sometimes it's not just excessive or rigorous vibration but you might notice a strange or grinding noise. Other times your lawn mower might start wobbling or shaking or vibrating at a high rate or you notice that the cut looks uneven, these are all signs that you may have a bent or broken crankshaft.
