Most pebble or mosaic tile installations are done by installing full pieces or sheets and then cutting in or piecing in the perimeter pieces. Since the Tile Redi shower pan is already square the installer can just take measurements and precut all of the sheets before installing. This way the installation can be done faster as long as the precut pieces are numbered properly so that they can be installed in the correct place. Doing it this was speeds up the installation time by about 50%.
Tile Redi pans are already waterproof, pre sloped, and there are no connections to be made between the shower floor and wall. Also, the drain is integrated into the pan instead of installed separately. This reduces the failure points that are common with the Schluter, Hydro Block, and Wedi shower systems. Tile Redi foam is also approximately 7 times more dense than Schluter foam.
