Farming, Feathers & Fire!!!!!! Montana Harvest 2021

Please take a moment to remember 9/11/2001. We are grateful to the heroes and we hope that those who lost their lives may rest in peace.

In today's video, we are finishing up the big hill wheat field on our Montana farm. When I was little I would ride in the combine with my Dad and he would stop and pick up hawk and hawk feathers for me. Today I stopped to pick up my own feathers in the field! I explain how we have to dump our grain before we go down the big hill and also before we go up the big hill. We park our combines because it is starting to rain. At the shop, we notice another field fire that is coming towards our shop and house. Jim fills the sprayer with water and Dad and I take off in the sprayer with water. We drive out to see how fast this fire is moving towards our buildings. The tractors and disks are plowing ahead of the fire to stop it from reaching our buildings. The awesome volunteer firefighters are on the scene too. They get the fire out except in the coulee. Dad flies his drone over the burnt field to see what happened. We are very grateful everyone is safe and so are our buildings. I hope you enjoy my video! Thank you for watching!

My Story…
Hello. My name is Kate Stephens, and I am a 17yearold 4th generation Montana farmer. My family has been farming wheat in northcentral Montana since my great grandfather immigrated from Denmark in 1912 and homesteaded our land. My family has been teaching me about farming since I was two years old. I run one of the combines on the farm at harvest. I believe that it is important for everyone to know where their food comes from and the families who produce it. I love our farm, and I hope that my Farm to Fashion and Farm to Table products can help educate people about where their food comes from in a fun way. That is how Kate's Ag Farm to Fashion became a reality. I hope you love my products as much as I do because this is an extension of our farm and the grains we have been growing to feed other families for over one hundred years.
