Most new falconers or those taking up a new bird often don't pay enough thought to the problem a noisy bird could cause you and your falconry . Vocal birds to the point of screamers are hard to live with for many of us , and then x100 if you have neighbours . It can cause serious problems for family and neighbours that could easily cause you to get rid of the bird , in some cases forced by the local authorities . Do not under estimate this problem ! Do not get a hawk until you have seriously thought about the consequences .

Parent reared birds can become screamers for one of , or several of , many reasons . Or just pure bad luck for reasons you can't put your finger on .
Let me talk you through some of them and some ways to try and prevent the habit as once formed it will stick for one to three years or more...
