Thank you for joining me as I soloexplore the abandoned Medfield State Hospital (AKA Medfield Insane Asylum. Constructed in 1896 and abandoned in the early 2000s, this facility treated 2200 patients at its peak. Since then, the dozens of buildings have sat boarded up. This location was used as a film site in the 2010 film “Shutter Island” which was directed by Martin Scorsese and starred Leonardo DiCaprio.

Note: No trespassing occurred during the filming of this video. All locations are public land and the memories of those who lived & died in this place were respected at all times.
