This weekend we headed back up to Conwy to go fishing with John Locker from @TheFishLocker and Gavin Williams from @SmallBoatsSeaFishingUK !


For this trip we were fishing on a Merry Fisher 795 out of the Boatfolk marina in Conwy. What a stunning location and a brilliant boat. It was great to have Gav onboard as he is relatively local to the area and certainly knows a thing or two about catching fish from that part of the world! Of course, it’s always a pleasure to be joined by John. There really isn’t much he doesn’t know about Sea Fishing in the UK. It showed as the pair managed to pull out a great variety of species in just a few hours of fishing around Conwy.


Conwy is of course where we are hosting round 1 of the Boatlife Fishing Championships, so it was great to get a lay of the land with both John and Gav and talk all things Boatlife Fishing. There’s not much better than having a laugh on the boat, soaking up the Welsh sun and most importantly, catching fish! Not to mention the unbelievable scenery and wildlife we were constantly surrounded by. Round 1 on the 18th/19th May really is going to be a glorious weekend!
