This review benchmarks the EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming video card, using NVIDIA's Ampere silicon. We've tested the 3080 FTW3 with all 3 VBIOSes, including the XOC VBIOS, for overclocking, thermals, and noise.

The EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming goes up against previous cards we've tested, as we begin to slowly compile a list of the best and worst 3080s. So far, we haven't had any that land in "objectively bad" camp but there's time yet. We now have the EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra, the ASUS TUF OC, Gigabyte Eagle, and Founders Edition, and we have a few more to work through in between the other reviews. In this review, we're focusing entirely on thermals, noise, noisenormalized thermals, powernormalized thermals, power, and overclocking, with no focus on gaming. The gaming results are roughly the same as in our RTX 3080 review, plus a couple FPS here and there. It's the quality of life and OC features that really matter for these.
