Ok A dynamic deflection in the system causing is causing valve bounce, and while tighter springs are a way to overcome this issue (damage from the loss of contact is worse than the extra wear from bigger springs), its not correcting the cause of issue.... So yes the lifters do over adjust and hold the valves open when they bounce! so its a real thing that happens but "lifter pumpup" referred to an early debunked theory of other causes, not what I meant! I used an incorrect term.....
...You can shim the springs so they are about to bind at full lift as well.....
