Big Blue Button is part of the core plugins in Moodle 4.0. The virtual live class is completely free for up to 25 participants for 60 min with the ability to record the meetings. The recordings are only available for 7 days and cannot to downloaded. However, you can record your sessions using a screen recorder such as Camtasia, Screencastomatic and others.

If you're interested, Bigger Blue Button has free and great paid plans https://biggerbluebutton.com/plans that are much cheaper than ZOOM and offer recordings on Moodle. ZOOM does not have recordings on the Moodle and the pro plan is limited to one user who has to be the admin of the Moodle site.

Moodle is an amazing Learning Management System (LMS). You can save time by recycling Moodle courses and using them over and over again. You can backup, import, restore, and reset the courses in a few easy steps.

Moodle has plugins that enable teachers to support learner autonomy. Teachers can facilitate learning. Learners can experience learning as they engage with the content, each other, and the teacher. I use Moodle for peer teambased learning. If you believe in learner autonomy, take the free courses on Moodle for Teachers.

Here’s a bit about me. I've been teaching in the K12 sector with the Internet in blended learning formats since 1993. I am grateful to my students for trusting me to try things out, so I can learn, improve, and share my knowledge and skills with other teachers. I would not be where I am today without you guys.

I have been working as an admin of Moodle sites and teaching online with Moodle since 2003. Moodle has changed quite a bit in the past 17 years, but because I am constantly upgrading sites to the latest Moodle versions and teaching online with Moodle, I get a lot of handson practice. I'd like to share that knowledge with you.
