Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the UltraFab Fifth Wheel kingpin tripod stabilizer. This offers aluminum construction and a 1,200 pound capacity. Part number is UF19950200. Now, the need for a stabilizer on our fifth wheels here usually come from when you're out camping. You're inside. You're moving around, and the whole thing just kind of shakes.

We can eliminate that using a tripod, but another key time to have a tripod underneath here stabilizing is during storage. You're going to have the wind and stuff blowing on the side of the camper, and you can see it doesn't take a whole lot of force to really get these things rocking. So by adding our stabilizer, we can eliminate that forward, back, and side to side movement, taking the stress off of our landing gear. Now, with our stabilizer installed, you'll see . very difficult to get any movement out of this, so that front and back, side to side is going to be taken care of. And you'll see that in our reviews.

One guy had mentioned setting it up, going in his camper, and trying to get it to move, and he just couldn't. Now, this stabilizer is a good, heavyduty product. You can feel the quality. Nice, thick aluminum here. All of the steel that we have ...

so on our screw, that's going to be steel. The chain, the foot plates, and hardware, those are all zinccoated. So really, no issues with corrosion that we'll have to worry about. As you can see, the handles are easy to operate, as well. You can simply lift those up to lock them in the usable position, and then, when we're done, just tip them down to get them out of the way. On each of our legs, we also have a nice, large foot plate.

These are larger than what you're going to see out of some other manufacturers' models. It should do a great job of dissipating the energy out over a greater area so it doesn't sink into the ground on you. Now, the tripod offers a capacity of 1,200 pounds, but it's not to be used solely for supporting the front of your camper. You definitely want to also use your landing gear. This is just acting as our stabilizer to keep it from moving around. Now, it operates from 34 to 52 inches. That's going to be your kingpin height, so that should work for most of the trailers. If you do need it to operate at a taller range, there are leg extensions available. It tips the scales at about 16 pounds, so it's going to be nice and lightweight, as well. Now, to ensure our tripod isn't tampered with or stolen, we do have a lock. We're able to place that through our two holes and then just push it to secure it. Now, the lock's going to be provided with three keys, so you should have plenty in case you happen to lose one. One thing I will say about the lock is that it's of good quality, but it's certainly not extremely heavy duty. They also haven't forgot about you gooseneck guys out there. We can simply replace the shaft that we've got here that has the kingpin cup with the gooseneck ball, and it's going to operate just about the same way. That part number is UF19001057.Now, to use it, we're going to get our legs spread out here. I want our handle to be kind of turned, our cup turned into the lower position. We're going to slide it under. Once we have it underneath, we're just going to lift our legs up there. We'll get it so it's centered under our pin, and then we'll take whatever link is closest to the catch here and clip it over there to secure it. That's going to prevent our legs from spreading out. Now, at this point, it's easy just to spin our handle. You can see how it fits right around the kingpin there.Once it bottoms out, you just want to put a little bit of pressure on it. At that point, we're nice and secure. And when not in use, it folds up into a pretty compact size that should make it easy to store. That's going to complete our look at the UltraFab Fifth Wheel stabilizer, part number UF19950200.
