Today on this 2014 Acura MDX, we're going to install part number 118628 from Tow Ready. This is a TOne vehicle wiring harness with a fourpole flat trailer connector. All right. The wiring harness we're going to install inside the vehicle. We'll go underneath the floor covering here and then this cover we have to pull up and out of the way, and this is our spare tire area and off to the left hand side here, we'll install our wiring harness. Using a flat screwdriver, we'll go ahead and pop open this lid. This is the socket where our wiring harness will plug into. We're going to take our plug here for our wiring harness and we're going to route it on the inside plastic and over here. Make sure we keep our white inaudible 00:01:00 ring terminal pulled to the outside because we'll ground that using a factory ground in a few moments. OK.

We'll go ahead and plug this into the socket, push it in until it clicks. OK. All right, next we'll go ahead and take our white wire and ground it to this factory ground here. This should use a 10 millimeter socket. OK. All right. Next we'll go ahead and find a location to mount the module itself.

We're going to just clean out some sheet metal right here, then we use adhesive that comes with the wiring harness and we'll attach it to the back of the module and the other side will go to our sheet metal. Let's go ahead and fish our fuse holder here and we'll double check and make sure our 15amp fuse is inside, and then we'll have to add a couple of fuses to the fuse panel right here. Some vehicles may have these already and some may not. OK. Now we're going to install a 10amp fuse located in position number two right here. OK. Then in position number 11, we need to install the 7.5amp fuse. OK. With our fuses in place, now is a good time to try it out to verify it works and then try it on a trailer. All right.

Let's go ahead and try it out. We'll ground our light tester to the white wire and we'll check the running light circuit, which will be a brown wire. That looks good. Then we'll try our left turn signal, which will be our yellow wire, and our right turn signal, which will be our green wire, and then we'll go ahead and check our brake signal, which will be constant on the yellow and green wires. Good. At this point we can go ahead and reassemble our interior components for our vehicle. OK.

What I'm going to do is I'll pull my fourpole wire out out of the way and put the cover back into place. This will sit on top of it. When it's not being used, it can stay in this compartment. The floor covering will cover it up, and then when we need to use it, we can simply just pull it out and shut the hatch on it. The door seal is going to be thick enough where it won't hurt the wire when you shut the door. We got more than enough to reach our hitch. That's what it takes to install a wire harness from Tow Ready, part number 118628, on our 2014 Acura MDX. .
