Hey guys, welcome to etrailer.com I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the Rhino Rack vortex stealth Crossbar on our 2020 Chevy Traverse. Now this can be a great option if we want to get some accessories onto our roof. Now, a lot of these traverses don't come with standard factory hitches. So this can be a great option. If you don't want to go ahead and add a hitch to our car, we don't have to do an install day. All we have to do is border these bad boys.

Get them of our roof is gonna get us a lot of different accessories onto our roof including spacious cargo area. Why that's important, this traverse quite nice. We can get those seats down. We have a lot of cargo area. However, as we can see with those seats up we are going to lose a lot of that cargo space.

So maybe we're taking the family on a road trip and we got a lot of friends. This can be a great way of actually getting some accessories up on top. So let's jump up and start looking at some dimensions. As you can see here we are getting a very ergonomic design here. This arrow bar design is going to be very nice.

It's elliptical style. It's actually hopefully reducing that wind drag as we go through. Definitely not going to use bolty as those square bars you might see. Another great thing is this vortex tripping up top, as you can see it does have a little bit, of kind of like, ergonomical cuts in it to hopefully navigate that wind as it's going through, as well as giving it a nice little pat on top. So we do have any kind of top mounted accessories.

They're going to have a nice little pad to actually rest on not resting our bar. Not going to be damaging this at all. Hopefully preventing any damage to our accessory as well. This is also very easy to remove and actually add things into, as you can see, it does have as we talked about, probably it does have a little bit of inner cuts in here, so we can go ahead, and if we had to, we could snip this. With a lot of, you know attachments that we're going to keep on there a long time. Using that Tslot very easy to remove and also install. So that can be great option of getting those Tslot accessories in there without too much effort. Another important thing to keep in mind it is a very low profile design. I love that about it. You know, if we have a lot of maybe those cargo boxes we could get up in here, it's going to help really reduce that overall space that we're going to add. However, I might see us running into a little bit of issues that we have some, I don't know kayak carriers or something that actually wants to clamp on the underside here. So let's go ahead and take a quick look of how much we actually have on clearance to the bottom of our vehicle. Looking here, it looks like we're about at an inch and a quatre to, I'd say an inch and five eights actually to the bottom of our bar. So it'd be an inch and five eights. You're not getting a ton of clearance. However, as you can see, does make for a very sleek and narrow design, which I do like as you mentioned before. But it's definitely something to keep in mind if you're looking for accessories on the clamp underneath, definitely just watch that dimension. And taking a look at the top here, it looks that we're getting about two and five eighth inches to the top of our bar. So definitely not adding too much on top. That's really the thing to look at, is the underside here. Now this is going to be a very lightweight design as well in here. It can be very resistant to weather and a very durable for us as well. On the inside there actually is a little H structure. So you're getting a lot of support. I don't think it's going to, as you can see very sturdy, not flimsy at all. It's going to be a really good job of getting those accessories on the road with us. Couple of things I like about this as well. It is made of aluminum, which makes it lightweight. However, it is powder coated to give it a nice finish which is going to help hold it up to that rain. You know, that weather that we're going to leave on here. So as this padding on top, as we talked about for hopefully to prevent any knicks endings we're going to feel on our bar. So it's going to hold up for quite a long time. And it's talking about the plastic on the, in here too. It is glass and fused and it is going to be very UV resistant. Why that's going to be great Of course, this plastic is hot, especially of it being black. It starts becoming brittle. So what they've done to go ahead and manufacture it. It's hopefully going to prevent this from aging too quickly. It's going to hold itself up nicely, convincing any kind of damage, ge
