Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Ford F150 and we're gonna be taking a look at the K Source Snap & Zap towing mirrors. To start off with, we're gonna show you the benefits of having a set of towing mirrors. You might think that you can see more than enough with your factory mirrors, but in fact you can't see the lane next to you. And that's what the main concern is when you're towing a longer load like we are with this camper here. So you can see me in the factory mirror going all the way back to the back of our camper.

But if I step out here, which is where the next lane would be, you can no longer see me in the factory mirror, but you can see me in the Snap & Zap mirror. Now the biggest thing for these mirrors for me is that they look as factory as you can get when it comes to adding a temporary set of towing mirrors to your F150. Underneath, you're gonna have a cutout of the puddle light so that you can still utilize that. When the doors open, you'll see that our puddle light comes on and you can still see the ground around your vehicle when you're getting in and out. The end of our mirror is gonna have a clear lens on it so that if you have your blinker on or whatever, you're still gonna be able to see that amber shine through there, whether it's during the day or at night.

This kit will include your driver and passenger side towing mirrors. It's also gonna include this carrying bag, which might not seem like a lot, but when it comes to using a mirrored image, the clarity is everything. So if you just throw this in your back seat, this mirror is gonna get scratched up. If you use this bag, you can see our passenger side mirror is still in here. There is a divider, that's a cloth divider that splits the mirrors so that the mirrors do not damage themselves when they're in the bag.

And then whenever you're done using them, you can simply toss 'em in the bag, throw 'em in your camper or whatever trailer you use when you're towing with these mirrors. To get these installed. That's kind of how they got their name, but you just simply lift it over top of your factory mirror, roll it under the bottom, and then push. And they snap right into place. And now you're ready to head down the road.

Now one of the things people like most about these is that they look so factory and they match the black plastic almost perfectly. I have seen a few cases where we put these on a little bit older vehicles and the plastic on the vehicle is faded. Well, if you just take something like tire shine or a black plastic restorer and put it on both the plastic on the vehicle and the plastic on the mirror, they're gonna match almost perfectly. Now comparing this Snap & Zap mirror to another option that you could use with your F150, it's gonna be this style that will clamp and strap onto the mirror itself. I think the Snap & Zap is gonna look way, way cleaner. Yes, it is only designed to fit this particular mirror, but for a while now Ford has had this same style of mirror, so it's gonna fit a very wide range. So if you decide to get a a new truck later on down the road, chances are it's probably still gonna fit. This one is a true universal fit, so it has these arms that can move and twist and grip, so you can use it for multiple vehicles in your household. Or if you decide to get a new vehicle, you can still use these with it. I am an aesthetics person, so I would much rather prefer to pick up a new set if I decide to get a new vehicle later on, that matches that vehicle just like this one matches our 23, F150. Okay, so hopefully this video helps you decide whether or not the K Source, Snap & Zap towing mirrors are right for you in your F150.
