With some of these new trucks, I don't know what the manufacturer was thinking when it comes to the safety chain loopholes on your hitch. So, sometimes you're gonna have some hooks that just aren't gonna fit. They don't give you much room at all. It's kind of a weird little shape. So, some hooks aren't gonna fit and some solutions to that also aren't really gonna fit. And then not to even say that these can be easily taken off when they are on.

But then also with our customer today we had this one in here, and I had to take this ball mount out. And it was like pretty much impossible just because this thing is kind of in the way. So, that's where Hammer Lock comes in. Hammer Lock is gonna be the best way to make it a little bit easier to hook your safety chain loops on from your trailer. It's not gonna get in the way of any of your hitch mounted accessories.

And the nice thing about this is, once it's installed, it's not coming off. So, no one can take it once you get it on there. That is the situation with our 22 Ford F450. So, if you're one that owns this truck you know what I'm talking about. Some of these chains will go on there but then getting them off is kind of a hassle.

And it becomes a twohand job which isn't really what I'm looking for. So, what we're gonna do now is show you how to get this thing on. What we wanna do is slide that little center portion out and we're going to pull these apart. We're gonna put one through like this, it's only gonna go on one way. So, as you can see, on one side it sandwiches the middle and then on the other side you have the middle of the sandwich.

So now what we do, is we're gonna take this, put it through and there's gonna be another little piece like this, we're gonna put that in the center. Slide this in, kind of get it lined up. And this is where we're gonna need a little bit of muscle. We're gonna hammer this thing in there. Be sure not to hit your fingers, 'cause it's pretty tough and that's why it's not really gonna come undone, once we get it down there. Once it gets all the way through, it gets a little bit easier just like that. Now, this goes from kind of a hassle to a very, very easy part. So, I can just make my job a little bit easier, I'm sold. So, I'm definitely sold all the Hammer Locks. One thing I love about it is the mobility. It can slide, it can twist and turn and it's gonna be just as strong the whole entire time. I love that, especially compared to what we had on here before, this big old bulky thing. Not a whole lot of mobility. It's not gonna be able to move a whole lot. And you do want a little bit of slack and movement just so as you're turning and stuff it's not gonna be putting all that stress on your hitch. And now, I can actually pull my hitch accessory pin out, which is nice, I don't have to really wrestle with anything. If you own a F450, you're planning on doing some pretty heavy hauling which is why I went with the 5/8 inch Hammer Lock. So, this is gonna have a rating of 18,100 pounds and that's for each of them. So, this one match it up with the proper chain and then for the other one match it up with the proper chain and then add those two 18,100 together, and that's gonna be the capacity we can do. So, with this truck it's really, really important to have something that's super, super strong. Hammer Locks are the way to go but definitely go with the 5/8 inch Hammer Lock. The steel that the Hammer Lock is made out of, it's Grade 80 tempered steel. So, that's what really gives it its strength. So, I've seen these on your hitches but also I've also seen them just for hoisting stuff up. So, if you have multiple applications for 'em definitely use it for that. And be sure to share some pictures on the website, once you get 'em installed. These can be used in a lot of different applications. You can use 'em on your hitch to make it easier but you can also use it for like hoisting stuff, if you are in that type of business, you can use that as well. And if you're looking for the most durable and heavy duty safety chain links, this is going to be the way to go, Hammer Lock 100%. If you're looking for the one that's gonna be most secure 'cause someone can just come up here and take these off if they needed 'em, also with some of the bigger
