How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the CURT Echo wireless brake controller on our 2022 Nissan Armada. The CURT Echo wireless brake controller is gonna be your easiest option to add brakes to the back of your vehicle. It is just an allinone unit that is a proportional brake controller. It's the same internals as the Echo UnderDash and InLine brake controller as far as how it recognizes your speed and braking and transfers that to your brakes, and the same proportions. I prefer the InLine wired ones because it doesn't create an additional portion hanging off of your plugin on the back. But it is one of the easiest ways to get brakes and it is gonna be able to control up to two axles for your electric brakes.

Using your One Auto app, you're able to control the Echo brake controller and pair up your manual override button. You can make adjustments to your maximum output of your brake force, as well as the sensitivity for your override. So you can make it more aggressive or not and turn it down. You also have the hazard lights bypass. So that keeps your taillights on your trailer from flashing along with your vehicle, if you have your hazards on, if you deem that necessary.

And here's a look of our selfadhesive override button. Essentially, what's that's gonna do for you, it's gonna engage that sensitivity setting that you have for your manual override through the app. After you initially set it up in the app itself, those settings are gonna stay with the Echo, and you'll just transfer from vehicle to vehicle every time you pair it up. Now that we've taken a look at some of the features of the Echo, it is one of the easiest ways to get brakes added to your vehicle, and it's also versatile. If you have multiple trucks, multiple trailers, you can switch it between them.

I prefer the InLine. However, the electronics on this guy is exactly the same and doesn't require you to do any wiring. Now we're gonna install our CURT Echo. I'm gonna start with removing our panel to reveal our sevenweight hitch. There's body tabs down here that you're just gonna twist and pull to remove, and it'll allow you to just pop your panel right off.

Yep. And then we're gonna find our sevenway connector and take our Echo and insert it right in. It snaps right into place. And the door is gonna hold it on, but there's also an included rubber strap that's gonna keep everything secure as you go down the road. Since we're inside and we don't have a trailer, we're gonna use our trailer brake tester here to show you what the output is for your brake current, brake voltage, and it'll give you indication that the brakes are engaged. This is what we use in the shop when we do installations here to test for power to your brakes. Using our One Auto app, this allows us to have a manual override. You can also adjust the maximum output as far as the brake power you have going to your brakes, as well as your sensitivity. If you we're to be in a situation where your phone dies, and you no longer have power, your Echo is gonna remember the last setting that you have and you just would lose your manual override. Now that we tested that the Echo works fine, this has been a look at the CURT Echo wireless brake controller on our 2022 Nissan Armada. Have a great day.
