Essential Step in Vole Control - The Apple Sign Test

Follow
volecontrol

A properly executed "Apple Sign Test" will determine which vole holes are active entrance holes, how many vole colonies you have, and where they are located. Identifying several "hot spots" of vole activity clustered in an area determines that a vole colony is present. The below ground foraging Pine vole colony comprises an area of about 1200 square feet, and if you have vole activity in an area larger than 1200 sq ft, then you have more vole colonies in that area. Above ground foraging Meadow vole colonies forage in a 10,000 sq ft area.

Only install a Vole Control Bait Station System where you have had a positive apple sign test. If you skip the "Apple Sign Test" and place the bait stations in random areas where you think there is activity, you will not get adequate control and will waste precious time.
