Escalator design lifting machine

These days there is a requirement of machines to continuously lift people over a small
height continuously at crowded places such as malls, railway stations etc. where common lifts
cannot be used as it may cause delay and continuous movement of the crowd will be disrupted.
Escalator is a perfect machine for fulfillment of this purpose.
The basic objective of this project is to study the various components of the escalator their
shape and structure. The assembly of the various parts was also studied. The power flow of the
escalator design in general was also developed. The overview of an escalator system was also done
in order to get an idea of approximate load and height it needs to be designed.
