We purchased the city pass and it’s cool if you want to visit a lot of Houston’s tourist attractions. Let’s get started on what Houston has to offer for families visiting with kids.

1. Looking for something fun and educational to do with your kids while you're visiting Houston? The Children's Museum of Houston is packed with interactive exhibits and activities your little ones will absolutely love. Plus, there are free nights so you can save money while making memories that will last a lifetime. The children’s museum was one of the best things to do with kids in Houston!

2. Go to NASA Houston Space Center for an outofthisworld experience. It was fun to explore all about the upcoming Artemis mission back to the moon, past missions, and astronauts, and be immersed into space! We went Into reallife rockets and learned a lot about the life of astronauts in space. Lucia loved running around this interactive museum for adults and kids alike. The museum itself is dark which helps create the perfect space setting. The museum offers so much to see and do. Unfortunately with a toddler, it’s harder to absorb all the information. Older kids should truly appreciate each exhibit and there’s theatres onsite, an astronaut training facility, a tram ride and so much more to do at NASA. We did enjoy going into Independence plaza. First we went into the giant airplane that would shuttle the rocket around the United States. Then, we went into the rocket ship with the orbiter access arm. Total nerd day and we loved it.

3. Explore the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Explore one of Houston's hidden gems! Take the kids to the Houston Museum of Natural Science and watch their eyes light up with excitement. From dinosaur bones to Texas wildlife, gorgeous gems and diamonds, and even Egyptian pyramids and mummies, there's something for everyone to delight in. So don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to create some unforgettable memories with your family! Come and explore all that Houston has to offer it'll be one of the best things to do with kids while visiting this beautiful city.

4. Spend a day at the Houston Zoo. Come join us for a day of fun and exploration at the Houston Zoo! With their motto "see them, save them", you can be sure your family is in for an exciting time as you explore the vast array of animals like elephants, tigers, lions and giraffes. This Zoo is huge and has so much greenery in the zoo itself. It is literally situated in the Hermann park so it's a really pretty zoo. We loved walking around and getting up close with exotic wildlife! Get here early enough and you’ll have free parking! What a bonus.

5. Take a train ride around Hermann Park, discover trails, gardens, and lakeside views. There’s also Japanese gardens and so much to offer in Hermann park.

6. Play in the playground at Discovery Green Park in the heart of downtown Houston

7. Take a bike ride or a walk in one of Houston’s many bike paths. We loved getting outside the downtown core and exploring the greater Houston area. Take a stroll around the beautiful suburbs of the city! With numerous hiking paths and sprawling green spaces, Houston has much to offer. Grab your bikes or take a leisurely walk through one of Houston's many bike paths. You can even stop by one of the many playgrounds to let the kids burn some energy. The peaceful surroundings and wide open spaces provide the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind with the whole family. You and your family can explore the beauty of nature while getting in some exercise. As a full time RV travel family, we love nature and taking long walks with our German shepherd. There was so much to explore!
