I sail 250 NM to an isolated rock (Sula Sgeir) off the north coast of Scotland, and then turn south for a 350 NM nonstop passage to Dun Laoghaire Ireland (near Dublin). The objective is to see if the tides in the Hebrides / North Channel are too strong to sail against. While I was slowed to 1.8 knots for 3 hours while abeam Islay/Rathlin, the rest was completely doable nonstop. I demo 'shaking out' a reef and give a brief tutorial for beginners on navigation marks in harbours. Nothing too exciting/dramatic, but good fun.
