Hello!

My name is Alex and I will be your tutor today.

Step 3: Introduction
(Introduce yourself first.
Ask your student to introduce themselves and pay attention to their introduction.
Ask 23 followup questions regarding their hobbies after they finish.)
Before we start our lesson, would you like to have an introduction?

Sure. Again, my name is Alex and I come from the Philippines. I used to study English Language and Literature when I was at university and now I’m an online tutor. In my spare time, I really enjoy cooking, playing video games, and reading books.
How about you, Ayasan, can you tell me something about yourself?

Interesting. It's great to know you more. So, let's go over some of your sentences. I will type it in the chatbox. You said: I like to *reading books. Please say: I like to read books.

You're welcome. So, what kind of books do you read?

Oh. do you have a favorite fantasy book?

Wow! That's my favorite as well. What's your favorite character from Harry Potter?

Cool, I like her too. She's an adult now but I still like her.

Step 4: Lesson Proper
(Tips: Check the student’s understanding after every exercise.
Use the chatbox to explain unknown words/ write down corrections. Use simple explanations, as well as an example sentence for each word the student asks you about.
Encourage the student to reply to questions with full sentences.
Praise the student often and tell them how good their skills are. Don’t forget to correct their mistakes, but do it positively and type down the corrections.)
