Florida is an “atwill” or “righttowork” state. Generally, there are no contracts, most employment in Florida exists as long as the employer and employee chose to work together. This means that an employee has the ability to quit at any time. This also means that an employer can fire an employee at any time for any reason, as long as the employee is not fired for any discriminatory reason.
