How to rebuild early CJ2A Willys Jeep steering knuckles to ensure accurate steering when driving. Various components are involved which include: steering knuckle support, king pin cap stud, king pin bearing/cup, king pin shims, steering knuckle seal, spicer axel shaft, benix axel shaft, spindle & brake backing plate.

TORQUE SPECS:
King pin stud nuts: 30 ft/lbs
Knuckle seal: 15 ft/lbs
Spindle & brake backing plate: 30 ft/lbs

During the harsh winter months in Canada we decided to take the Willys apart, fix a few parts, and get it back on the road. Then repeat this the next winter. During the winter of 2021 we rebuilt the brakes and basic engine upgrades (spark plugs, water pump, distributor, ignition coil, etc.). THIS winter of 2022 we are tackling to replace the transmission and transfercase but finding lots of other problems deep within the engine.
