Egyptian Mau Cat
The Egyptian Mau Cat is probably the oldest breed of cat in the world. In fact, the breed is so ancient that its name is the Egyptian word for cat.
Curiously, it may not be from Egypt even though it resembles the spotted felines depicted on the walls of the Pharaonic walls of palaces and temples.
Mau means bad in Portuguese but these guys are actually quite shy and friendly and very fast runners and because I love colour, here is my version of a Mau patterned watercoloured cat.
