Edwardian Updo for Short Hair

Follow
The Chesher

Ever wonder how you can pull off your favorite
Edwardian outfit when you have short hair?
Look no further!
There are many ways (mainly using the art of illusion)
and here is just one of them
Enjoy!

First, the hair rat I used was just a generic hair doughnut from the dollar store that I cut to make it a tube, or you can get nice long ones like these: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002RTUFV6/...
You’d get more coverage with this.

The literal chunks of hair that I tuck into the gaps is seriously my own hair I’ve collected over the years from my hair brush. I started doing this because it was historically accurate! Women would keep their hair they cut or pulled out and tuck them into nylon to create their own “hair rats” that matched their hair color perfectly!
However if you don’t have a collection of your own hair HAHA, maybe something like this could be helpful for the small side parts: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BBLKDRW/...

You could literally tuck ALL of your hair around a natural colored, elastic hair band instead! I do this often as it is quick and easy.
Perhaps one like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001UO488A/...

The extra floof of hair that I added to look like the “bun” on the back I got here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HJEGP3A/...
