Dr. Bob Polomski is a Horticulturist and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences at Clemson University. He is an awardwinning horticulturist and ISA and TRAQcertified arborist with teaching, extension, and research responsibilities. Bob teaches three undergraduate courses: Landscape Plants, Urban Tree Care, and Selected Topics in Urban Forestry. Since Sept. 2011 he has been the advisor for the Urban Forestry minor. 

With a broad interest in all things plants, Bob’s present horticultural/arboricultural pursuits include the study of urban tree growth and management and identifying, evaluating, and promoting plants that provide aesthetic and ecological benefits to landscapes and streetscapes. Bob serves on the marketing committee of NICH, the National Initiative for Consumer Horticulture, a broadbased coalition of industry and academia, with a goal to grow a healthy world through plants, gardens, and landscapes.
