Eberbach is located on the Neckarknie, where the river changes its flow direction from northwest to southwest, in a widening of the Neckar Valley, at the foot of the Katzenbuckel, the highest elevation of the Odenwald at 626.8 m. It is located in the Neckar ValleyOdenwald Nature Park and on Burgenstraße and is also part of the (UNESCO) GeoNature Park BergstraßeOdenwald. In the north, Eberbach borders on the state of Hesse. The direct connection to the Brombach district runs through Hesse. The northernmost point of Eberbach, the BadischSchöllenbach district, is only 2 km away from Bavaria. Due to the once meandering Neckar, the district of Eberbach is particularly rich in surrounding mountains. In the immediate area of the city alone, there are two such elevations, the Ohrsberg and the Hungerbuckel; there are a total of five circulation mountains in the total area.
