Eaton (Harrop) E-Locker Wiring How-To

Timmy The Toolman

Did our video help you? If so, consider buying us a beer: https://bit.ly/3feE6tJ

In this video, we show you how to wire up your Eaton ELocker. The vehicle we are working on is a 1998 Toyota 4runner. Even though there's a good chance you'll have a different vehicle, this video will give you the foundation to do the wiring on any vehicle.

You'll hear me remark in the video that the wiring harness is very long and it's obviously made to reach the rear differential. I found out it is a one size fits all which is a bit of a let down. In my opinion, Eaton should offer a shorter wiring harness for front differential applications.

**If you were wondering what's involved with installing an Eaton Elocker into a Toyota 7.5" Clamshell Differential, check out this video:    • ECGS Toyota 7.5" Front Differential R...

**If you don't have an Eaton ELocker yet but you're in the market to buy one, I would suggest buying from East Coast Gear Supply (ECGS). They could sell you a differential with the ELocker already installed, or they could sell you the locker and you can install it yourself. Watch the video we linked above before choosing to install it yourself because the process is fairly involved.
