RANGE SELECTOR and SPLITTER EXPLAINED
Luke Watson explains how the splitter works and how to split gears on a truck with a roadranger gearbox. Road Rangers make 13speed, 10speed, 9speed, 15speed and 18speed transmissions and these types of gear boxes have splitters this is how to use them correctly.

How to Split Gears UP:
Step One speed the truck up to meet the next gear and preselect the HI
Step Two release accelerator and HI will be engaged

How to Split DOWN:
Step One slow the truck down to meet the lower gear and move the HI/LOW SPLITTER SELECTOR to LO
Step Two apply gentle acceleration until LO is engaged.
