Many people run their weed eaters / string trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, hedge trimmers and other 2cycle engines with the carburetor out of adjustment. It is very easy to adjust your carburetor and doing so will remedy many of the common problems people have.
Also, during winter months or when the equipment is not in use for a period of time... be sure to drain the fuel from the tank and run the fuel out of the carburetor to prevent the carburetor from gumming up.
