Learn how to make an easy loom knit baby hat with a brim in this step by step tutorial that's perfect for beginners!

If you're new to loom knitting and want to try making some cute beanies for the babies in your life, this pattern is for you! This pattern can be done on any circular loom with an even number of pegs.

I made a small version that makes an adorable bonnet for a preemie or newborn, and also a larger version that's perfect for 3 months up to 612 months depending on how big your baby's head is.



Here's the size details for the two hats I made:

NOTE: 4 rows = approx. 1 inch of height, you can adjust the size of your hat by adding or subtracting rows.

Preemie/Newborn size:

5 rows of k1 p1 ribbing for brim
15 rows of ewrap knitting for body

Finished size: 1112 inches in circumference | 6 inches tall
