Homemade creamy New England style clam chowder recipe

56 slices of bacon cut up
2 (8 oz) bottles of clam juice
1.5 cups of chicken stock...you can use seafood or vegetable
4 stalks of celery chopped
1 small onion
minced garlic
1/2 cup of flour
1 pound of potatoes peeled and cubed
2 cups of milk
1/2 cup of heavy cream
2 bay leaves
salt and pepper to taste......1/2 tsp of salt was good
tsp of thyme
