With Halloween right at our heels (and Skaya constantly bugging me for Halloween candy), we decided to make some super easy dogfriendly Halloween gummy candies!

Part of the fun of Halloween is getting to devour all the candy and chocolate you collect going doortodoor trickortreating… but unfortunately, dogs typically have to miss out on all the treats! That’s why I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make these chewy, gummy candies for dogs! (You can eat them too, but honestly, I think your tastebuds will regret it! )

Not only are these Halloween gummies very simple to make for your dog (or cat!), but they’re actually super healthy too! Who wouldn’t want a healthy pet treat recipe for their pet?

RECIPE:

1 cup broth
2 Packets (or 2 Tbsp.) unflavored powdered gelatin
¼ tsp of spirulina (green) or turmeric powder (orange)

1. Add the gelatin to a ¼ cup of cold broth.
2. Heat the leftover ¾ cup of broth on the stove top and add your flavoring (spirulina for green or turmeric for orange). Once heated, let cool for 30 sec. before adding to the gelatin.
3. Combine gelatin and hot broth mixture. Pour into silicone molds.
4. Put in refrigerator for a minimum of 3 hours or until set.

Keeps approximately 57 days in fridge. Can be frozen for up to 3 months (although consistency will be altered once frozen and defrosted).
