Most Freestanding Tubs now have an integrated overflow, and they require a hookup from below the tub. If there is no access below, the Jacuzzi MZ20000 (Island Tub Drain) is needed to make the hook up easier.

This is especially helpful on a concrete foundation or where there is no access from below the subfloor.
