Easy Crochet Baby Blanket How to Crochet from Beginning to End Project for Beginners. This is a fun and easy crochet baby blanket tutorial using Bernat Blanket Yarn and Bernat Baby Blanket Yarn. This is a super bulky size 6 chenille type yarn making a super soft and cuddly baby blanket. This crochet tutorial is beginner friendly and easy with beginning to end steps showing you how to crochet all along the way. This is a simple, quick crochet project. I used the V Stitch double crochet stitch pattern for the body of the baby blanket which includes the following types of stitches: foundation chain, single crochet (US) and double crochet (US). The border is 4 rounds of single crochet (US) stitches.

All of my crochet tutorials are provided in both lefthanded crochet and righthanded crochet perspectives.

Instructions to make the V Stitch (Double Crochet US)
ch = chain
sc = single crochet (US) (NOTE: single crochet in United States means Double Crochet in UK)
dc = double crochet (US) (NOTE: double crochet in United States means Treble Crochet in UK)

Foundation Chain – Crochet the foundation change to length needed for your project using foundation chain count that is a multiple of 2 and add 2 additional stitches.
Row 1: 2dc in 4th ch from the hook, skip 1 ch then *[2dc in the next ch, skip 1 ch], repeating * to the last ch, 1dc in the last ch, turn (NOTE: 2dc creates V stitch group)
Row 2: ch3 (counts as 1dc), skip first dc, 2dc into the center space between the 2dc within the V stitch group across the row below to end, 1dc in top of the turn chain, turn Then, repeat same pattern as row 2 throughout your work.
