This banana bread recipe is super simple and can be prepared according to your taste with walnuts, chocolate pieces or even raisins. Banana bread is perfect for using up overripe bananas. To prevent the cake from becoming soggy, the bananas should not be pureed, but rather roughly mashed with a fork. If you like bananas, you should definitely try this recipe!

‍ Ingredients for a 10'' (25 cm) loaf pan:
3 ripe bananas (with peel: approx. 14 oz (400 g))
½ cup/ 1 stick (115 g) butter
⅔ cup (150 g) sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract or 2 tsp vanilla sugar
2 eggs
1 pinch of salt
2 cups (240 g) plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda or 1 additional tsp baking powder
½ tsp. Cinnamon
Nutmeg (optional)
⅔ cup (80 g) walnut kernels (alternatively: raisins or chocolate pieces)

Bake at 350°F (180°C) conventional for 40 45 minutes
