50 year old film footage from the early group of dune buggy / water pumper / sand rail enthusiasts around 1972. Locations for most trips were in the Glamis and Greys Well Rd / Gordons Well Rd areas of Southern California, USA.
These families and friends belonged to the "Desert Devils" club from San Diego County. The club began in the late 60's and did group trips into the 70's. They shared their skills to build their own buggies and trailers.
The digital editing involved some heavy stabilization of the original footage. As such, the outer edges may dance around a bit. It seemed better than cropping those areas off which wouldn't leave much of the original scene. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did 50 years ago as a kid.
