Enthusiastic, energetic five month old Tibetan spaniel immediately calms, stays still and poses for the camera, as soon as I say I'm going to film how cute he is and his unique breed. I said this after his human had just told me the Tibetan spaniel is a rare breed in the U.S., since they are treasured due to how they have been bred as Tibetan monastery monks' companions. Just a moment before this, the puppy had planted his front paws on my lap and placed his head near my face then had been skipping to and fro, with affectionate, boundless energy.
His human said the puppy's mom was a show dog champion and his dad was grand champion.
Tibetan Spaniels have been bred to look like little lions, as Tibetan Monks' sentinels and companions. Supposedly, traditionally Tibbies are gifted instead of sold, and they are highly intelligent.
