SJF recently installed this shipping system for a customer who ships small appliances for online retail stores. Four formerly manual processes were automated, including the weighing of packages, dimension of packages, application of shipping label, and sorting on the dock. The new design includes an automated weigh scale to capture the order weight on the fly, automated Print and Apply label applicator, and high speed sortation at the shipping doors. The system is capable of processing up to 30 orders per minute.
