There is a known issue with RTX 3090s and it's that the VRAM on the back gets extremely hot, so much so that it can have a negative effect on performance depending on the card and the application at hand. Here I go over the VRAM temperature differences of the ROG STRIX RTX 3090 on air, traditional water, and EKWB's new Active Backplate which is specifically designed to combat these hot running VRAM temps.
